Become a Member of UFAW

Membership of UFAW is open to all worldwide – the continuing work of UFAW is dependent on the support of its members, so please consider becoming a member.

UFAW provides grants and educational opportunities that help those involved with animal care and welfare in their work. Many UFAW members are therefore professionals such as animal welfare scientists, veterinarians, animal care staff, biologists, lawyers, policy makers and ethicists. UFAW also greatly values its many members who may not have a direct professional interest but who are concerned about animal well-being and want to make a difference for animals by helping to advance our understanding of their needs and how best to meet them.

By becoming a UFAW member you not only help advance animal welfare but also receive:

  • Regular updates and information on UFAW activities and developments in the Annual Report and in the UFAW Newsletter.
  • A 35% discount off all books in the UFAW Wiley book series and off virtually all other Wiley books.
  • Notification of new publications and forthcoming UFAW meetings and symposia.

Individual member subscriptions are for the year from date of joining.

“I joined UFAW as a newly graduated Vet because I was really drawn to the variety of things published in the Animal Welfare journal and the energy that the organisation has to promote Animal Welfare science.” Dr Claire Richardson
